It’s quite normal for the ends of human hair to feel a bit drier or coarser, especially after washing. This happens because:

• The ends are the oldest part of the hair, and they go through more friction, washing, blow-drying, and heat styling than the rest.

• On longer hair, the cuticles at the ends naturally experience more wear, which can make them feel slightly rough or frizzy.

• Unlike natural hair on the scalp, human hair toppers don’t receive natural oils that travel down from the roots, so the ends can feel drier over time.

To help improve the texture, we recommend applying a light leave-in conditioner or serum focusing on the ends, and if needed, trimming about half an inch to one inch off the bottom. A small trim can refresh the look and make the hair appear smoother and healthier overall.
